Blackjack Ballroom casino has announced it has received a certification from industry standards authority eCogra.
eCogra are a not for profit independent standards authority for the online casino industry. They provide audit and review services and certifications to casinos that pass their checklist of do's and don'ts.
Following a recent audit of Blackjack Ballroom, eCogra has sought fit to award the casino with a Safe and Fair certification. The audit considers a number of aspects casino operations, including but not limited to:
- security of information storage;
- promptness of customer payouts;
- honesty in advertising practices;
- randomness of games; and
- responsible operating behaviour generally.
eCogra certified casinos are subject to regular payout audits, results of which are published by eCogra and attest to randomness of games through transparent return to player rates.
In their press release, the casino also took the opportunity to remind us that they paid out a then record jackpot of over $5.5 million back in April 2008 to a player from Finland. Apparently the player (Klaus E.) had signed up at the casinos and taken advantage of their free $500/ 1 hour of play promotion to get a feel for the progressive game Mega Moolah. Soon after he hit the jackpot with a 50 cent spin.
