Netplay TV Plc, owners of live 'for tv' casino supercasino.com, are soon to start broadcasting games in Scotland.
Supercasino.com is one of a number of casinos that are currently streaming live blackjack, roulette and/or baccarat over television on dedicated satellite tv channels throughout the UK. They currently broadcast games on Freesat, SKY and Freeview.
Now, thanks to a TV distribution deal with STV Group PLC, they will be broadcasting their casino games throughout Scotland to potentially an additional 4 million viewers. STV is currently Scotland's largest commercial television channel by viewer numbers and gives Supercasino.com access to a greatly expanded player base.
The games will only be available on a limited schedule - late evenings Thursday through Saturday. But this may change depending on viewer response.
The deal continues the meteoric growth of the live casino gambling sector, which offers players real dealers and cards viewed via live video feed over the web or television. Netplay PLC competitor Smart Live Gaming are similarly aggressively expanding their distribution channels and game offerings.
