Online casino software developer Playtech Plc have signed a deal with UK live casino operator Netplay TV Plc.
The deal between the two AIM listed gaming operations will allow Playtech licensee casinos access to the Netplay live gaming products, while giving Netplay access to Playtech's suite of online casino software platforms, including casino, bingo, mobile and poker.
Netplay's current operation involves the television broadcast of live casino and bingo games over dedicated channels in the UK like SKY, Freesat and Freeview through its Supercasino.com, Bingo.com and EuroTeleMillions brands. It's a platform that has been steadily gaining in popularity in the last couple of years.
Playtech is already an established player in the live casino market, with established dealer studios in Asia and Europe streaming live games via web-cast but do not yet via television. This deal is set to change all that.
Form Martin Higginson, CEO of NetPlay TV plc: "This agreement will take NetPlay TV to new heights. The investment of GBP12.8 million into our business, along with the strategic relationship, both in terms of distribution and technology with Playtech, will enable us to drive the development of our converged gaming solutions.
Mor Weizer, Playtech's CEO, added: "We have been looking for a partner in the 'live' interactive gaming market for some time. Our clients and their customers are demanding 'live' products and therefore it is logical we offer them the best services available. This agreement enables us to offer our licencees unique TV quality gaming shows, this will also enrich their offering to gamers, and will also boost Playtech's Bingo offering, increasing Playtech's bingo network liquidity significantly.
