Got a spare $13 million? If so you might want to consider buying one of the online gambling world's most prized domains - gambling.com.
Domain owners Media Corp have decided to sell the web address to raise funds for other acquisition opportunities. They have engaged Sedo GmbH to conduct the sale.
Media Corp say they have already received a number of offers but believe a formal sale process will get them the best possible price. And that price? No figures have been suggested but a company spokesperson has called the domain comparable to a recent domain sold by Sedo for $13 million.
The sale comes only months after slots.com sold for over $5 million to the Bodog Group.
Sedo's Tim Schumacher said of the impending gambling.com sale:
"We are very pleased to have been chosen as the exclusive broker for the sale of Gambling.com. A defining domain name like this can enable a brand to own their vertical and would be a fantastic addition to any gaming or gambling business. Gambling.com is a safe bet; it has traffic, branding and instant memorability! Its new owner is sure to win big when it comes to securing new business, enjoying top SEO results and rolling out their brand online."
