23 year old Canadian Jonathan Duhamel took out the richest prize in poker Monday night.

Duhamel won this years WSOP main event in Vegas, earning the coveted bracelet and just under $9 million. Second place went to 24 year old Floridian John Racener who is $5.5 million richer for his efforts.

Duhamel went into the final heads up match with a massive (almost 6:1) chip lead and as an overwhelming favorite. However it took an hour and 43 hands of patient poker before he was able to put Racener away.

The young Canadian, who turned pro 2 years ago and has been playing poker, mostly online, for 5 years now donated $100,000 of his winnings to a hometown charity.

'It is surreal. I could never dream of that. It's so huge, so big. It's a dream come true for me' said Duhamel of his win.
