Team Full Tilt's Phil Ivey has taken gold bracelet number two in this year's World Series of Poker.

Just two weeks ago Ivey opened his gold bracelet account with a win in the $2,500 buy in Deuce-to-Seven No-Limit Lowball tourney. That win took his WSOP gold bracelet tally to six. Yesterday, he edged higher again on the all-time gold bracelet ladder taking his seventh in the $2,500 Omaha High-Low / Seven-Card Stud High-Low split tournament.

Ivey beat out a field of 376 players to take the $220,538 winner's pot in yesterday's 7 card stud event. Second place went to Ming Lee of Massechussets.

Seven WSOP wins now puts Ivey in elite poker company with only five players ahead of him on the all-time list. They are Johnny Moss, Johnny Chan, Erik Seidel, Doyle Brunson and leader with 11 bracelets, Phil Hellmuth.

Now with his eye on a piece of poker history, Ivey has re-thought his indifferent stance to WSOP appearances, skipping the last couple of years. "Winning bracelets, it does matter. Just having the chance to put myself in poker history and I know I have the chance to win and be the all-time bracelet leader if I can continue at this pace."
