Online sports betting site Bodog was yesterday taking bets on what Tiger would say during his big apology speech.
In a press conference that took place Friday morning at PGA headquarters, Tiger came out of hiding for the first time in months following his run in with a golf club wielding wide and revelations of a long line of mistresses.
Sportsbetting operators, always on the lookout for a new betting line, decided to offer odds on exact phrases Tiger would use during his speech.
Over at Bodog you could get 5-4 on 'sorry' being the most spoken world by Tiger. Short odds were also on offer for 'family' (6 to 4) and 'apologize' (5 to 2).
As for excuses offered, addiction was favorite at (6-1). For punters who like really long odds, you could get 'I just like hot chicks' at 150-1, although 5000-1 would be closer to the mark that should be offered on these words being uttered.
Odds were also on offer for whether or not wife Elin would be present at the conference. 11-8 was the on offer for a yes bet. The no bet was even money, and as it turned out, was the winning bet.
